This template provides a framework for a Payroll Forecast (also known as Headcount Schedule). The Forecast period is three years into the future and projected on a monthly basis.
The template allows customization of key inputs including Forecast period, existing and new employee names / roles / departments, employee start and end dates (if layoffs are expected), salary expectations, benefits expectations, and payroll tax expectations.
The Forecast calculates total Personnel Expense using expected salaries, benefits, and payroll taxes, and provides summary salary and headcount data bifurcated by tenure (existing employees vs expected new hires) as well as department.
